Raidar :Aust Ch Vicoridge Dream Believer was awarded (MCC) and GROUP 3rd way to go beautiful boy, what a result for a first outing in a new country, below is his picture with owner handler Kinuka Goto of Kennel Prometheum... Bree Vicoridge Nextat Prometheum was exhibited at her first show as well to be awarded (MCC) and GROUP 3RD we are very proud, and a day before she turned 12mths old congrats Kinuka and Little Bree and many happy birthdays to you little one. Well Done Jenny Trezise and RANI as you set the Bar within the breed to an EXTRA HIGH standard. Karma sure is looking the part and flying the Flag high for Vicoridge Kennels in Victoria.

]]> Sat, 01 Oct 2011 01:50:00 GMT F7E51A8602AAB0A7BB6CBE6FE79D82B3 News for 2011 http://vicoridge.com/blog.cfm?feature=1409362&postid=1298621 Its been quite a while since my last entries, so just a little update for now, In June 2011 2 of our Pharaoh hounds flew to Japan to kennel Prometheum, there they will be loved and shown and set a high level for the breed in the country. My partner Rodney has become the proud owner and exhibitor of His first Amstafs in Monty and Vegas, you can check out their pages under the OTHER dogs link. September sees our gorgeous girl Ambah heading off to Hong Kong for a life of luxury at Forest Kennel, her first international and asian shows will be on Oct 9th, she will definetly set a high bench mark for the breed there. Harley another of our gorgeous boys will continue toward his Australian Title and then he will join her at Forest Kennel Hong Kong toward the end of 2011. We anxiously await the arrival to our home of our beautiful baby amstaf girl who will join Rodneys lovely show team. We were ever so proud of the recent show results  in Perth where the beautiful RANI took out yet another BEST IN SPECIALTY SHOW at the Hound club of WA, we are very proud of Jenny and Ranis accomplishments and feel they are going from strength to strength. Fly that flag Jen and Rani, we luv yous. May 2010: We have new Australian champions CH Vicoridge Gotcha Good AKA Karma owned by Dylan Edgar of Kinghunta Hounds in Victoria, Karma Achieved her title with a RUBIG [BIG 2nd] with 150 hounds entered, what an achievment in a strong contingency. We recieved a phone call from friends who attended the Sporting terrier speciality show in Victoria in June 2010 advised us that the little red grizzle Lakeland girl we bred Vicoridge Dressed to impress owned by Damian Geoghegan won BEST IN SHOW, thats just fantastic, she is from our second litter out of Damians imported Irish boy. Also in June we were graced with the birth of our 3rd lakeland litter, a little girl and boy both black and tan, now in their respective homes, we wish their owners the very best as these 2 little ones are very special indeed. Not to forget the Numerous BIS wins and Best in Group as well as  Multiple Runner Up Best in Group wins....well done to all. We all had a pretty late night and few bourbons to get us prepared for our 4.30 am wake up, we all had a splendid day at the Royal regardless of the poor judging. Our kennel won 1st in open class bitch, 1st in aust bred class bitch, 1st in intermediate class bitch, 2nd in junior class bitch, 1st in puppy class bitch, puppy of breed, reserve bitch challenge with our puppy bitch and only her second show, wee met up with great friends we hadnt seen for quite a while, although a few things we seen at the show was outright discusting such as colouring dogs. Anyway back to the Royal with our Lakelands next Saturday. Marco we are excited!!!!!! Onto other news, Venus Aka VICORIDGE HOT GOSSIP will be making her way across the seas in early May to make her home with Maria Westman of Farao Anubis fame, she has a fantastic international outcross pedigree and Majan just has to have her, no arguments here...We are also awaiting the mating of Plupp to Babe soon in 2010 to bring out a glorious male who will further compliment our already fantastic bloodlines, we must thank Majan for giving us the opportunity to incorporate her wonderful prized bloodlines into our stock. The Sydney Royal is once again upon us, so much to do so little time, wondering if entries have risen for 2010? Exhibitors have had so much dissapointment in the Sydney Royal since its relocation to Olympic Park at Homebush, cluttered and crambed in, not much space for dog toileting, feeling like caged animals in a zoo, trying to push our way out to the rings through hoards of people who just "dont get it" we have to get dogs to rings, thats what we pay our entry for. I suppose another dose of those usual general public questions; Is that a dingo, oh' whats it crossed with, or I have a chihuahua that looks like that?? Yep we get em all, we try to be ever so patient when people ask the usual, WHAT KIND OF DOG IS IT? when theres a HUGE sign above stating the breed  . This year we are attending the first day April 1st [lets hope its not a prank...lol] so at least the toileting area will be fresh for a change, we have 8 pharaoh Hounds entered as well as our breeders group, on the second last day however we have 4 of our lakeland terriers entered, now thats NOT going to be any fun in the toileting area at all!! It will be another excruciating week of travelling 5hrs each way, 3 times in a week, as in between our 2 breeds we also have the prestigious Sighthound Association Show, which we won Best in Show at in 2008 under breed specialist Annette Bysttrup of the Denmark. We are hoping for a record Pharaoh Hound entry this year, we have entered 10 of our own dogs 8 of which are homebred entered, as well as our breeders group and my grand ole man Cal is having his 1st exhibition in Veterans class, he is 8 now but still has all the charm and pizazz of a 3yr old. This years judge is Mrs D Adorno-Legrand of Saluki fame in the USA, its her very 1st Australian appointment so should be highly exciting and interesting. Dont know that our breed will cut it with the hairies, but we will certainly give them a run for their money....LOL  .
